Railey Beach is the best beach of Krabi 🙂
Funny to watch this now (May 2020). You had no idea what was coming and how absolutely everything in your life would change in the near future. The truth is we are all, always clueless, about what’s “next”… looking back it’s clear you made all the right decisions.
Ao Nang is a great place to be based, we have been a couple of times and will be there again in January, but it is NOT the best beach in Krabi, a short long tail ride to Railey gets you to better beaches, as does a short trip to one of the many islands in the region.

I took a ferry from Phuket pier over to Ao Nang. What a beautiful little trip. You motor past some small islands, little out croppings. Very scenic
Ao Nang is very pretty place. Enough night life to keep a single person occupied. Some very nice little eateries
pretty beach but when I swam in it, the sea floor was slimey. I had doubts the water was good quality, probably lots of runoff. I took the long boat to raily beach around the point and that water was nice with a clean sandy bottom

You are good/great with that camera, but rent wives disappoint me. I've had my share and nothing to show for it but conscience and a few photos. Have a cheap and older single mom now so that's my compromise as I really love her but with large problems in the noggin and wallet/future. Thanks, Paul
